2024 Reishi spirits!!!!! :

Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata) at dusk in my garden reaching its peak in the month of August. What a joy to have blue vervain around, it grows tall up to 5 ft. and sways in the wind, very much strong and sturdy. Flowers conintually blooming in a ring up the flowering spike. Deep purple flowers amongst its verdant thin square stems and pointed leaves.

(photo from July of wild Blue Vervain in the Catskills)

I make a fresh tincture from the flowering tops and leaves. The tincture comes out a deep dark color and tastes very bitter. I've worked with Blue Vervain in times of tension in the neck and shoulders.
